Our group participates next November 25th in a series of outreach events promoted by the Unit of Dissemination and Scientific Culture of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB).
These are relatively informal meetings (morning snacks included) in which different research teams will present a small part of their projects.
Here is all the information and access to registration. The meetings are at 10 am on the following days:
Monday, November 21st: “Berenam cinema per a la fi del món” (Let’s have breakfast cinema for the end of the world), with Katarzyna Paszkiewicz and Andrea Ruthven, professors of English Philology at the UIB and researchers of the research project “Cinema and Environment: Affective Ecologies in the Anthropocene”.
Tuesday, November 22nd: “Ets un fals prim?” (Are you a normal-weight obese?), with Carmen García Ruano, predoctoral researcher in the Department of Fundamental Biology and Health Sciences at the UIB, and Paula Oliver, professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the UIB.
Wednesday, November 23rd: “Som el que menjam però sabem el que berenam?” (We are what we eat, but do we know what we snack on?), with Cristina Reche, predoctoral researcher in the Chemistry Department of the UIB.
Thursday, November 24th: “Berenar antizoonotic” (Antizoonotic breakfast), with Claudia Paredes, professor in the Biology Department of the UIB and researcher in the research group of Applied Zoology and Conservation (ZAP) of the UIB.
Friday, November 25th: “Si al teu fill/a li costa parlar, això t’interessa” (If your child finds it difficult to speak, this interests you) with Daniel Adrover and Eva Aguilar, professors in the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at the UIB and researchers from the Research Group on Development, Education and Language (I+DEL) of the UIB.
