Members of I+DEL collaborate as guest editors in a renowned international journal’s special issue on executive control and emotion regulation and we want to invite you to share your work in it

The members of the research group I+DEL, from the Balearic Islands University (UIB), Daniel Adrover Roig, Eva Aguilar Mediavilla i Raúl López Penadés have been invited to take part as guest editors on the special issue Executive Control and Emotion Regulation in children, adolescents, and young adults from the prestigious International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IF of 2.468).

Executive control is defined as a set of cognitive processes that allow us to perform oriented goal actions, as for example the  ability of focusing attention on relevant aspects while ignoring irrelevant ones. Different studies suggest that there is an interaction between executive control and emotion regulation abilities, such that a good balance between them facilitates in children a good developmental adjustment at a psychological, emotional, cognitive and social level.

This special issue’s objective is to gather studies  that explore executive control, emotion regulation, and their relation or other variables that illustrate how their interaction can affect the well-being of children, adolescents and young adults (behavioral problems, victimization among peers, emotional intelligence, family factors, etc.). The special issue is open to any empirical or revision paper using a health and/or a psychological perspective to address this topic. Manuscript submission is already active, and will remain open until deadline (April 30th, 2021). For more detailed information on manuscript submission, or on the special issue itself you can visit this link. You can also consult the Special Issue’s Flyer.
